Emotions dictate our actions more than we would like to admit, and for the writer, they’re an integral part of creating character motivation. Of course, they’re also very important for hooking the reader, and while you can certainly play it by ear, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much depth you can add to a character by using this worksheet to brainstorm some ideas about how to express emotion in your story.
