I’ve spent the weekend tinkering with my moodboard and I’m quite pleased with the way it looks. It stands on my desk, behind my laptop, as a pretty reminder of places I’ve been and things I love.
There are many postcards from Kew, one from Persephone Books, one of Audrey Hepburn in a cloud of bougainvillea (which I found at Paperchase), one of the London Underground (which I love), a couple of Marianne North paintings with matching Dulux paint chips (Rich & Victorian), an origami bow and dress, a couple of flower fairies, some watercolour doodles, and an orchid print with literary connotations.
The buttons and paper roses are hot-glued onto thumbtacks.
The little “mimesis not diegesis” card is an idea I’m playing around with, as a freebie for a future online class. I think it needs some work!
The two language charts are very useful, especially the smaller one which lists the Russian alphabet with English, Polish, and German equivalents!
Lastly, I have some practical items: an envelope full of bookmarks, a few necklaces (including a paper bead one I made myself), and a rosy hairbun elastic.
